What is CU-SeeMe?
Cu-SeeMe is a Video/Chat program (probably the first one) developed by Cornell in 1992. The first version was developed for the Mac, but in 1994 it was ported to Windows.
In 1995 Cornell licenced White Pine Software to create a commercial version of CU-SeeMe. On 1998 Cornell sold all its rights to Cu-SeeMe to White Pine Software. The last free Cornell versions available are 1.0b10 for Mac, and 1.0a for Windows.
White Pine Software was renamed to CUseeMe Networks. Later CUseeMe networks was merged with First Virtual Communications.
